Christmas is so close!!!

Goodness, December is just flying by!! Hard to believe Christmas is a week away...

I'm making some handmade gifts this year to make up for the fact that I don't have the money to buy anything. The upside is that it's given me a chance to be more creative and stretch myself in new ways. It's also really fun for me!!! I enjoy coming up with ideas and seeing them come together...

I'm thinking of baking some sweet treats for gifts too! It's so funny how creative I become when I have to be...lack of funds always makes me get crafty and creative. I would prefer to have more money to be even craftier but I'm making it work this year...so far.

Happy week before Christmas to YOU!!!

One of my favorite holiday films which includes this little diddy...so fun.

WTG, Kelly! I LOVE handmade and I'm sure your gifts will be well received. I can't believe it's now less than a week until Christmas and my son turns 10 on the 23rd so we have a birthday to celebrate too.

I would love more funds to buy art/craft supplies too.

Have a happy week!

love, light and peace,

I actually prefer handmade gifts. They show love and focused intent. They are something created for you, and how much more precious is that than an iPod case. :)

Hi Kelly,

I'm answering here, in case you don't go back to check comments on my blog. You asked if I used postcards in the background of the painting -

I used greeting cards cut to different sizes with selected print or pics on them.....postcards would work perfectly too.....anything made of paper or card would work well. If you're interested in the seeing how the painting developed from start to finish with some explanation of the process steps, copy and paste this link into your browser. http://artbyserena.blogspot.com/search/label/work%20in%20progress

Btw, I've never seen the movie - Scrooged - before but I'm going to look out for it after hearing a lot of positive feedback about it on different blogs.

love, light and peace,
serena
